Colonel Edward N. Rolle, United States Army Retired, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles, California to the late Colonel and Mrs. Norman B. Rolle.

Rolle graduated from the University of Alaska and served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 1969-71. He served in Vietnam, Germany, and South Korea. In 1990-91, Rolle was Deputy Office Chief of the National Security Agency (NSA). He served as Executive Director of Plans and Programs for Governor Mike Huckabee and then assumed the post of Director of the Arkansas Employment Security Division (ESD).
Colonel Rolle’s Decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and Airborne Wings.

Leaving to Cherish his Memory are his wife, Sue Rolle, son, Scott Robinson and wife Renee of Jonesboro, daughter, Amy Wolf and her husband Navy Lieutenant Chris Wolf of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and five grandchildren who were his pride and joy….Seth Robinson 15, Sophie Robinson 9, Lauren Wolf 11, Lex Wolf 9, and Cruz Wolf 5. He is also survived by a large extended family and Brothers in Arms.

Gravesite Service and Interment will be Monday January 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
