November 1, 1923 - March 15, 2015
Joe L. Ammons, 91, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015.
He was a United States Army World War II veteran, a retired salesman from Sears Department Stores and had an encore career working as a limousine driver for the Union Pacific Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Miller) Ammons, of Little Rock; three daughters, Nancy Malheiro, of Marietta, Georgia, Denise Felton and Tonya Stillman (Rick) of Maumelle; four sons, Michael Ammons (Leslie) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, James Edward Felton, Paul Felton (Beth), of Little Rock and Danny Felton (Becky) of Madison, Mississippi; sister, Betty Wooland (Dave) of Kingston, Tennessee; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Glydana Ammons.
One of the last things he shared, was how blessed he was to have found two wonderful women to marry and the great joy they brought to his life.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
