Richard J. Harness, 67, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015.
He was born September 8, 1948 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of The Church at Burns Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. Harness and Joyce Birmingham Harness; brothers, John A. Harness, Michael W. Harness and James G. Harness.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Carol Harness; son, Randy J. Harness; daughter, Holly A. Harness-Curtis; brother, Mark G. Harness; sister, Sandy K. Harness Gunderman; numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved Lab mix, Buster.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 25, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial of the urn will be 11:00 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue.
