Richard Tyree, 81, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. The son of Ralph and Beulah (McClure) Tyree, he was born December 17, 1934 in Pawhuska, OK. He married Norma Widel on June 6, 1959 at Blackwater, MO. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

For 28 years Richard worked for the U.S. Forestry Service as an engineer. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating, biking, traveling, whitewater rafting and canoeing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Tyree of Russellville; two sons, Ralph Tyree and wife, Theresa and Allen Tyree and wife, Pam, both of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Vicki Connor and husband, Daniel, Michael Tyree, Mitchell Tyree, Alex Tyree; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Gene Tyree and wife, Pat of MI; sister, Janelle Tyree of CO; sister-in-law, Pauline Tyree of MI; and several extended family members.

Memorial service will be held at 2pm, Friday, May 6th, 2016 at Humphrey Chapel. Jim Hale will officiate. Visitation will follow the service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation, www.leukaemia.org.au.
