HIGHFILL — Harold Dewaine Bookout, 71 year old resident of Highfill, Ark., died April 30, 2015 at his home. Born Feb. 14, 1944 in Harmon community, Ark., he was the son of William "Willie" Walker Bookout and Jewel Maxine Smith Bookout.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas. He graduated from Springdale High School. Harold married Cathryn Daniels on May 7, 1965, in Springtown, Ark.
He worked for 30 years at Scott Paper in Rogers, Ark. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Springtown and the Northwest Arkansas Cavalcade Riding Club. Harold raised and trained horses for thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John Bookout.
He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Bookout of Highfill, Ark.; two sons, John Bookout and wife Angela of Gravette, Ark., and Charles Bookout and wife Kendra of Gentry, Ark.; three grandchildren: Jacob Bookout, Jessica Bookout, and Elliott Bookout; one brother, Melvin Dale Bookout and wife Carolyn of Rogers; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015, at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, Ark., with Pastor Mark Rotramel officiating.
