Mr. Louie L. “Pete” Acklin, age 63 of Lone Rock passed away Thursday March 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born July 23, 1953 in Mountain Home to Herschel and Arthie Mead Acklin. He married Marlene Wilbur on July 22, 1972 in Lone Rock. He attended Lone Rock Baptist Church. Louie enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his tractor and cattle farming. He volunteered frequently at the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery and was on the cemetery board. He is survived by his wife Marlene Acklin; 2 sons: Matthew Acklin and Jason (Jesslyn) Acklin, both of Lone Rock; 4 grandchildren: Cheyenne, Kelcy, Hayden, and Hadley Acklin; a brother Terry Acklin of Lone Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bonnie Acklin and a brother Lonnie Acklin. Visitation will be 12 -9 PM Monday March 20, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
