FARMINGTON — Radley James Motes, 13, of Farmington died May 1, 2000, at Farmington. He was born April 4, 1987, in Fayetteville to James Elvie and Linda Kathleen Radley Motes. He attended United Methodist Church in Farmington and was a student at Farmington Middle School, where he was a member of the band. He was a 1st-degree black belt in tae kwon do, an avid reader and a science buff.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Linda Braun and Bill of the home; his father and stepmother, James Motes and Ruth of Springdale; three sisters, Rebecca, Sydney and Sarenah Motes, all of Springdale; paternal grandparents, Elvie and Wilma Motes of Willis, Texas, and Uvilla Motes of Mountain View, maternal grandparents, Albert and Frances Radley of Farmington; maternal great-grandmother, Grace Brennaman of Olathe, Kan.; paternal stepgrandparents, Leroy and Carol Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; maternal stepgrandparents, Wayne and Lavon Braun of Granite, Okla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Farmington Cemetery Pavilion with Peter Kimball officiating.

Memorials may be made to Farmington Middle School Band or Farmington United Methodist Church Youth Group.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brotherton, Jim Miller, Glen Lambert, Shane Miller, Willie Watts and Marty Motes.

Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
