January 18, 1899 - March 3, 1974
John Milton Warren, 73, of 805 Graham St., died in a local hospital Sunday. Funeral services were to be held today at 2 p.m. at Proctor's Chapel. Burial was to be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. Mr. Warren formerly owned and operated the Warren Butane Co. He served as Circuit Clerk from 1930 to 1934. He attended Camden schools and graduated from Cumberland University. He received a law degree from Cumberland. Mr. Warren served as chairman of the Ouachita County Democratic Central Committee for 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camden. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. B. G. West, El Dorado; Mrs. Carlton A. Moreland, Marshall, Tex., a sister, Mrs. T. J. Carroll, Camden; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. (Camden News - March 4, 1974)
