CALLIS, M.E. DICKSON - {from Wire Springs} Mrs. Andrew J. Callis died Dec. 13th, 1911 after an illness of only about three days; pneumonia being the cause of her death. Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday by Eld. Sears of Osage. The deceased leaves a husband and eight grown children, all of whom were present except Joseph who has resided in Oregon for some years. The sympathy of all is extended the bereaved family in the loss of wife and mother.

M.E. Dickson was born July 25th, united with the Christian Church at the age of eighteen years, was married to Andrew J. Callis December 19th, 1872. To this union were born ten children, two of which preceded her to the city of eternal bliss in the great beyond and seven of the eight living were present at the time of her death or soon afterward, Joseph being in the far West. She died December 13th, 1911 at the age of fifty-eight years, four months and eighteen days. Mrs. Callis lived a devoted christian, a loving wife, mother and neighbor and was loved and respected by all her neighbors and friends. Luther H. Fletcher.
