ROGERS — Brian Keith Doss, age 42, of Rogers passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1970, in Rogers to Frank and Linda Doss.
He dearly loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed his work at Pratt and Whitney for 16 years. Other interests included yard work and boating. Brian had a fighting spirit and worked diligently to raise awareness and funds for research towards a cure for T1 Diabetes.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Phillips Doss; one son, Zachary Doss; his daughter, Megan Doss; his parents, Frank and Linda Doss, all of Rogers; a brother, Darrell Doss and wife, Julie, and their daughter, Emily, all of Cave Springs; his brother, Steven Doss and his son, Colby, daughter, Abbie, all of Clinton, Okla.; also a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Clara Doss Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, James and Leota Thompson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
A visitation will be held on today, Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Clyde Brummett will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Taylor Phillips, David Phillips, Michael Phillips, Cole Chambers, Jeremy Doss and Devin Murphy. Honorary pallbearer will be Carter Phillips. Interment will be held in Coffelt Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRE, 4241 Gabel Drive, Suite 213, Fayetteville, AR 72203, in memory of Brian Doss.
Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
