CONWAY — James Harold Favre, age 81, of Conway passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Conway Regional Medical Center. Mr. Favre was born November 22, 1923, in Conway, Ark., a son of the late Adolph Leo Favre and Georgia Beatrice Graham Favre. Mr. Favre was a member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ, he was a Sergeant of World War II Army Air Corps and received two Purple Hearts. During his pastime he loved to take pictures, do wood working, read, and enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Favre is preceded in death by his wife, Johnie M. Favre, step-son, Kerry Vinson; step-mother, Cleo Favre ; and a brother, Adolph Leo Favre Jr. He is survived by three children, Brenda Reeder and husband, Robert, of Perryville, Janet Banks and husband, Tom, of Greenbrier, and Jim L. Favre and wife, Linda, of Little Rock; one sister, Catherine Fason of Houston, Texas; five step-children, Floyd Earl Vinson of Oklahoma, Kenneth Vinson and wife, Sharon, of Mississippi, JoAnn Swain and husband, Ronnie, of Atkins, Judy Prince and husband, Wayde, and Mitzi Irby and husband, James, all of Center Ridge; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 Friday at Griffin Leggett-Conway funeral home. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005, in the chapel with Chris Brill officiating. Pallbearers will be Peter Albahsous, Noel Harthcock, Randy Lane Gordey Jr., Dr. Robert G. Reeder Jr., William D. Reeder, Tracy Prince, Jeremy Irby and Ronnie Swain Jr. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery by Griffin Leggett Conway, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, Ark. 72034, (501) 327-5000.
