Phyllis Shorts Coleman, 95, of Centreville, Ala., died Sunday (Jan. 9, 2005) at Bibb County Nursing Home.
Born in Oil City, Pa., she was a teacher at Ida Burns Elementary School in Conway, a member of Kappa Kappa Iota sorority and a member of Centreville Baptist Church in Centreville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sid Coleman; a grandson; and a brother, Guy Coleman.
Survivors are a son, Sydney Coleman of Centreville; a daughter, Gealy Coleman Tucker of Booneville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway
