Geneva Rebecca Mayfield Lamb, daughter of the late Sonny Mayfield and Ruth Black Mayfield, was born May 16, 1958 in Kansas City Missouri. She departed this life September 28, 2015 in Salesville, Arkansas at the age of 57 years, 4 months and 14 days. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed as a waitress and cook at White River Café and Pineville Café. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Church.
She is survived by one son: James Aaron Lamb of the home; two sisters: Elaine Cook of Salesville and Kathryn Mayfield of Midway; one granddaughter: Summer Nicole Lamb of Mountain Home; 6 nieces, 7 nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Michael Adron Lamb; one sister: Cynthia Branscum; two brothers: Charles Edwin Mayfield and Johnnie Ethan Mayfield.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church with Monte Neal officiating. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home.
