Alfreda Tate, 57, passed away November 22, 2011 at the Ouachita County Medical Center. Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his father, Carl Tate, Sr. and a nephew, Yarnell McElroy. He is survived by his mother, Lula Tate of Camden; two sons, Ricky Marshall of Hot Springs and Alfreda Marshall of Camden; two daughters, Nicole Marshall of Camden and Desiree Marshall of Hot Springs; five brothers, Carl Tate, Jr. and his wife, Pearlene of Camden, George Tate and his wife, Frankie of Camden, Willie Jean Tate and his wife, Emma Lou of Camden, Etta James Tate of Camden, and Cornell Tate of Kansas City, KS; two sisters, Carla McElroy and husband, Will of Camden and Mechell Flannigan and husband, Jackie of Camden; two aunts, Iddella Grant of Louann, AR and Margaret Allen of Omaha, NE; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Cooper.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Proctor Chapel followed by interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
