SEDGWICK -- Jack C. Berry, 84, of Sedgwick died Friday, Dec. 24, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Arrangements will be announced by Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.

SEDGWICK -- Jack C. Berry, 84, of Sedgwick died Friday, Dec. 24, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Born at Sedgwick, he was a retired warrant officer with the Navy and a World War II veteran. He was employed with General Electric, I.M. Debold Cotton Gin and worked for 20 years for Cox Implement. He was a member of Sedgwick Baptist Church, PT Boats National Organization, Peter Tare Association and Military Officers Association of America.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Berry of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Mary Vinson Berry, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Higginbotham Funeral Service chapel in Walnut Ridge, with Tommy Green and Joe Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Old Military Cemetery at Sedgwick.

Active pallbearers will be Crowin Petty, Charles Petty, Anthony Whitley, Kevin Simms, Kevin Kapales and Lanny Fielder.

Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Davis, Charles Dame, Buel Dame, Harold Manus, J.S. Fielder, Dennis Manus, Jerry Cox, Emmit Stone, William A. Pierce, Glen Worlow, Glenwood Vance, Bill Gatlin, Homer Head, Doyne Hayes and John Petty.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today a the funeral home.
