ROGERS — Robert "Bob" John Barker, 66, of Rogers died Oct. 31, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born July 3, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Ed and Sue Reed. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1975, after 20 years of service. He served two tours in Vietnam and was aboard the ship set to serve the "Bay of Pigs." For the past 20 years, he assisted in the baseball and football programs in the Rogers School District. He was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital.

Survivors include his daughter, Sally Clifton and husband Chuck of Elkins; one brother, Jack Barker of Hayward, Calif.; one niece; two grandsons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Military honors will be conducted by the Bella Vista Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Jim Bridges, Whitey Smith, Mike Jones, Robert Kline and Ted McConnaughey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Raniek, Don Kline, Dillon Clifton and Chancvy Clifton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials maybe made to the Rogers Activities Center, o/o Whitey Smith, Ozark Fence, 112 Cherry St., Rogers, 72756.
