Donna Sue Grissom, 69, of Conway, a daughter of the late Joe Hardy and Edna Leatha (Sims) Johnston, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008.
She was an extremely loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the most giving, kind-hearted, best friend to all who knew her. Never needing the finer things in life, she was happiest caring for her children.
She retired after 15 years of service for Wal-Mart and later retired after 15 years of service in the Vilonia Elementary School Cafeteria. Her work places were another extension of her family.
She is survived by son, Bruce and Tammy Grissom; three daughters, Rebecca and Ricky Shaw, Brenda and Jim Jenkins, and Letha and Dale Sowell; eight grandchildren, Tammy Henson, Brandy Tilley, Ricky Shaw II, James Jenkins, Ashley Brock, Scotty Shaw, Bradley Grissom, and Andrew Grissom; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Johnston, and Thomas and Julie Johnston; and two sisters, Flora Zini, and Patrecia and Joe Butts; and loving friend Kenneth Welcher.
Two sisters, Carolyn Edwards and Jo Ann Beard preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2008 at Carter Cemetery in Vilonia, AR with Bro. Tim Nolan officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Conway.
