Note;

He was a constable, veterinarian, and was known locally as "The Bloodhound Man" because of the bloodhounds he owned and used to track down criminals all over central Arkansas. He was a son of early Eastfork Township settler Bryant Vann King (who ran a ferry on, and later built what became known as King's Bridge on Cadron Creek) and his wife, Matilda Malitta Harris King. He was a brother of Barbara King Townsend who was the wife of John D. Townsend.
