PRAIRIE GROVE — Cecil Wayne Stewart, 72, of Prairie Grove died May 5, 2002, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 18, 1929, in Hannah, Okla., to James Robert and Beatrice Sistrunt Stewart. He was a member of Prairie Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in Prairie Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Stewart, to whom he was married 51 years; one son, Robert Grant Stewart of Springdale, two daughters, Debra Remington and husband Tommy of Prairie Grove and Shelley Putman and husband Ronald of Bella Vista; four sisters, Inez Goodson of Panama, Okla., Opal Pierce of Cameron, Okla., Faye Rose of Savoy and Betty Tabor of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Oaks Missionary Baptist Church with John Hooser and Ernest Meadows officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Prairie Oaks Missionary Baptist Church, Prairie Grove, 72753.

Pallbearers will be Kary Reed, Franke Reed, Michael Skaggs, Joseph Stewart, Eual David Rose and James Porter.
