MATTIE EULA PATILLO, 93 of Fitzgerald, Georgia (formerly of Paris, Arkansas) died Feb. 4, 2007. She was born on July 29, 1913 in Altus, Arkansas in Franklin County to her late parents, Charlie and May (Woods) Patillo and also preceded in death by her Step Father, John Gattis. Miss Patillo was a retired minister with the Assembly of God faith having served as pastor of the Central Assembly of God Church in Fort Smith.

She held many local and district offices with the church and was a former missionary to the American Indians in Arizona. Forever an active lady, Miss Patillo at ago 90 continued to teach piano, a passion she loved for over 50 years often teaching as many as 40 students a week. She was a member of the Paris First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include nieces: Linda and Jesse Branch of Fitzgerald, GA; Doris and Gary Nelson of Henderson, TX; Ann Young of Booneville, AR;

Nephews: Ken Carpenter of Puducah, KY, Rev. Harold and Myrna Carpenter of Springfield, MO, Alton and Shirley Carpenter of Springfield, MO, Deen and Princess Gattis of Mountainburg, AR, James David Gattis, Glenn Gattis, Joe Gattis of Alabama: Several Great Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, GA with the Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating.

Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007 in the First Assembly of God Church-Paris, Arkansas with burial in the Caulksville Cemetery, Caulksville, Arkansas with Rev. Kenny Maness and Rev. Harold Carpenter officiating.

Nephews served as pallbearers.
