Benjamin Lee Hammond, 77, of 852 Holly St, died in a local hospital Saturday. He was born Jan. 8, 1893 at Eagletown, Okla., the son of Quill and Miranda Hall Hammond.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Stella. Hammond or the home; three grandsons, including Bobby Goodine of Fayetteville; three granddaughters, including Mrs. Beverly Sooter also of Fayetteville and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will he 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with burial in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
