Lowell Gene Story was born into mortality on December 20th, 1927, to the proud parents of Harley and Retha Story in Sturkie, Arkansas.
He departed his mortal existence on July 12th 2011 in Conway, AR, at the age of 83.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jewell M. Story, and 5 daughters and 2 sons and their spouses: Chrys Daniel, Kathy and Bob Reams, Debbie and Willie Bigler, Gigi and Dale Nielson, Leslie and Roger Sharp, Joe and Marlene Story, and Bo and Kate Story.
Gene is also survived by 24 grandchildren and their spouses - Bo Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Allison and Todd DePatie, Dennis Smith, Lathe and Brookly Bigler, Brannon and Leslie Bigler, Tyler and Ally Bigler, Ryan Bigler, Danielle and Conley Rogers, Krista and Greg Christensen, Caleb and Alana Story, Ellie and Greg Jeppsen, Desiree’ Story, Darienne Story, Micah and Aaron Breckenridge, Jens Nielson, Madeline Nielson, Parker Nielson, Heather and Paul Winter, and Michelle and Mike Westin, and 29 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Hillard Story and two sisters, Glennis Hurrell and Ann Craig. He is also survived by two sons-in-law Martin Daniel and Kenneth Anderson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Gene will be Monday, July 18th 2011 in West Plains, MO, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel at 2800 Christie Drive. Brother Jerry Walker will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. Gene’s grandsons will be his Pallbearers. Willow Funeral Home, 106 E. 3th Street, Willow Springs, MO, 65793 is in charge of arrangements.
