Husband of Wilma Sue Mashburn (marr. 25 Jul 1963); son of Charles F. and Alta Ruth Burleson.


Edd Burleson, 67, of Black Rock, died Tuesday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He had worked as a pipefitter for several railroad companies and was a member of the United Auto Workers. Born in Putnamville, Ind., he had lived in Arkansas most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wilma Sue Burleson of the home; two daughters, Lucinda Ann Townsend of Spencer, Ind., and Rebecca Lee Burleson of Black Rock; two sons, Fay Edward Burleson Jr., and Mark Duane Burleson of Black Rock; four sisters, Juanita Hedrick, Edna Osborne and Jayne Brown, all of Powhatan, and Glenda Stowinsky of Spencer, Ind.; five brothers, Marion Burleson of Bloomington, Ind., Richard Burleson, Ted Burleson and Roger Burleson, all of Powhatan and Charles Burleson of Coal City, Ind.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 at New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock, with Rev. Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery. The services will be under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Active pallbearers will be Roger Burleson, Kenneth Brown, Blake Young, Jerry Osborne, Tim Burleson and Michael Johnson.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
