Silas M. Florer, 84, of Siloam Springs, died Nov. 17 in Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1894, in Pawnee County, Indian Territory (Oklahoma), he was the son of Samuel R. and Eda Bumgarder Florer and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Booneville. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired maintenance man at Ft. Chaffee. He moved to Siloam Springs four years ago from Booneville.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Freda Goree of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Albert Florer of Gentry; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Wells and Mrs. Pearl Lofton of Gentry.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
