Derek Anthony Allan Bangtson, 22, of Wooster, went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 6, 2012. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 16, 1989, he was a son to Scott and Tracey Bangtson. Derek was a 2008 graduate of Greenbrier High School and a valued member of the Wooster Volunteer Fire Department, where he loved and respected everyone he worked with. Derek was a member of Wooster First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents; a brother Zachary Scott Bangtson; paternal grandparents: Allan and Mary Bangtson: maternal grandparents: Clarence and Donna Blanchard; fiance', Brisia Alarcon; uncles: Craig Blanchard, Gary Blanchard and wife Joyce and Troy Bangtson and wife Pam; aunts: Kristy Bartles and husband John and Tammy Verwers and a host of extended family and friends.

Services , under the direction of Roller McNutt Funeral Home, will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, August 10, at Wooster First Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Pryor officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Mausoleum with the Wooster Volunteer Fire Department serving as pallbearers. Visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday, August 9, from 5:30 to 8:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wooster Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 3, Wooster, AR 72181.
