Sue Bearden, 65, of Maumelle, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012. She was born October 1, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas, to the late Luther and Queen Esther Vines Qualls. She was employed by Scott Construction for over 20 years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maumelle. She enjoyed her family, walked with faith and enjoyed watching her grandkids sports. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clyde Qualls, and one brother-in-law, Wallace.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leavon Douglas Bearden; son Doug and wife Jacquelyn Bearden of Maumelle; daughter Paige Griesemer of Maumelle; four grandchildren Hunter, Cole, Madelyn and Andrew; sister Joyce Hay of Blytheville, Arkansas; brother Gene Qualls of Paragould, Arkansas; two special friends Margaret Tolley and Virginia Covington; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle, 1201 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas, with Reverend Luke Conway officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207, or to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
