Oscar Forrest Rowlan, 85, of Rogers died Sunday at Rogers Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1897, in Rawnee County, Kan., he was a retired boiling room foreman for Speas Vinegar. He was a veteran of the First World War.
He is survived by a son, David Rowlan of Rogers; four daughters, Dorothy Hedges of Wichita, Kan., Ruth Tune of Fayetteville, June Schneider of Rogers, Connie McDaniel of Avoca; a brother, Charlie Rolan of Little Rock; a sister, Mary Taylor of St. Augustine, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Rogers Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Bailey Phelps and David Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Rogers Presbyterian Church. Visitation is Monday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m.
