John C. Ford, 89, of Bald Knob, died Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was born July 7, 1923 in Bald Knob to the late Charlie and Donnie Norris Ford. John was a World War II Veteran and honored to have served his country. He taught fifth grade in Bald Knob for 5 years, then began his life long career at the State Career Employment Services, now known as the Department of Workforce Service, as an employment counselor. John was also a member of the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Juanita Ford and his son, Paul and his wife Sherry Ford.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth Charles Ford; two daughters, Kaye Ann and Faye Ellen Ford; a brother, Lawrence Ford.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, 2:00 p.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
