Husband of Claudine B Jones
Mr. Andrew "Andy" Jones, Jr. age 80 of North Little Rock died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in Little Rock. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Jones was born January 18, 1928 in Madison, Arkansas. He was the son of Andrew Jones, Sr. and Sessel Johnson Jones. Mr. Jones had lived in and was the Mayor of Widener, Arkansas from 1955-1977, he then moved to Little Rock to become the maintenance supervisor at the State Capitol building. Mr. Jones was a Veteran of the Army, member of the American Legion, Disabled America Veterans and was an avid Tush Hog Razorback fan. Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter, Ann Jones of Millbrae, California. He is also survived two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son Mike Jones in 1990. Services will be held Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
