Oct 27,1917-Sept 19,2013

Wife of Albert Kindred Taylor
Isabel Brandon Taylor, 95, of North Little Rock, AR., and formerly of Blytheville, AR., passed from this life Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock.
Born in Blytheville, AR., to H. R. and Effa Grindell Brandon.
Ms. Taylor lived in Blytheville for eighty-five years, during which time she was very active in various volunteer capacities. As a member of the United Council of Churchwomen, she worked in the Crippled Children's Clinic held in the old Nazarene Church and later with the Well-Child Clinic when the program was assumed by the County Health Office. As a member of the Junior Auxiliary, she helped with special needs children and with the testing of grade school children's eyes. She assisted with Red Cross swimming lessons and for many years was a volunteer at the Chickasawba Hospital through the Red Cross. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Brandon and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. I.O. Westbrook, were among the seven founders of Blytheville's First Christian Church. She became a member of that congregation in 1927 and devoted a great deal of time and energy to assuring its successful operation. She taught Sunday school, sponsored the CYF group and served as President of the CWF. Moving to North Little Rock in her eighty-fifth year, she retained her zeal for bridge, a game at which she was an acknowledged whiz, and she also continued her volunteer work—in that case knitting with a group for the Children's Hospital. She was also an associate member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, North Little Rock, AR.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Brandon and her husband, Albert K. Taylor.
She is survived by son, Albert K. "Kin" Taylor, and wife, Jan; daughter Leah Marcile Taylor, both of North Little Rock, AR; grandson, Mark Taylor and his wife, Liz; and great granddaughters Madison and Macy Taylor, all of Fayetteville, AR.
Graveside services were held in Elmwood Cemetery. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge.
