BELLA VISTA — Ruby Maxine Meister, 81, of Bella Vista died April 9, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville. She was born June 1, 1925, in Mower County, Minn., to Art C. and Ruth Peterson Anderson. She was a Lutheran. She married Melvin Meister, on July 17, 1943. She was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran in Adams, Minn., and was active in women's organizations. She retired to Bella Vista in 1980 and became a member of the United Lutheran in Bella Vista. She served many years as secretary of the bowling league and as an associate secretary in Minnesota and Arkansas. She was a member of the Bella Vista Women's Nine Hole Golf, Hi Scots Golf, was a Grange member and was a Minnesota state Grange youth director for five years and a seventh-degree national Grange member. She also enjoyed sewing, needlework, traveling and bridge. She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Meister.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Melvin Meister of Bella Vista; one brother, Donald Anderson of Fairfield Bay; one sister, Leona Goraczkowski of Amboy, Minn.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista with Fred Nelson and Fred Schaap officiating. Burial will be in Bella Vista Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home, online at www.funeralmation.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
