Jarroll Dean Chapman, 71, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 30, 1942, in Norfork to the late Wilson Ray and Helen (Hurst) Chapman. Jarroll served in the United States Air Force. After his military service he worked for 36 years as a boiler operator at Baxter Healthcare in Mountain Home until his retirement. He married Linda Jean Provence on January 1, 1983, at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Jarroll loved hunting and fishing and attended Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Linda Chapman of the home; two step-daughters, Paula Browning of Modesto, California and Cynthia (James) Spann of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, his twin sister, Jewel (Dwight) Hutson of Mountain Home and Fern (Bob) Holt of Knightdale, North Carolina; three brothers, David (Patty) and Carroll Chapman, both of Mountain Home and Steve Chapman of Norfork; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Larraine Buresh of Gassville; a sister-in-law, Alice Preis of Godfrey, Illinois; a grandson, Nicholas Browning of Modesto, California and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Louis Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the Burnt School House Cemetery under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bert Benton, Fred Burrow, Larry Hampton, Johnny Shew, Darrin Hughes and Greg McGowen. Honorary pallbearers will be James Southard and Jack Hughes.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church or the Christian Clinic of Mountain Home.
