January 29, 1905 - June 21, 1971
Miss Dimonde Rushing, 66 died Monday afternoon in a hospital at Longview, Tex., after a brief illness. She was in Longview to be with Mrs. Tom Terrell, whose husband is ill. Daughter of the late Nora Goyne adn Warner E. Rushing. Miss Rushing was born in Chidester and came to Camden at an early age with her family. She attended the public schools, and later went to Galloway College at Searcy. She retired last year from the Civil Service in Washington, DC. where she was employed for several years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Camden and a member of a pioneer family of Ouachita County. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. W. E. Wilson of Winona, Miss. and one brother, W. R. Rushing of Camden. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Chidester Cemetery by Proctors. The family will be at the W. R. Rushing home, 974 Truman. (Camden News - June 22, 1971)
