LEPANTO — Stanford "Buddy" Neal, 58, of Lepanto died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his residence.

He was a member of Lepanto First Baptist Church, where he was a loyal choir member. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Neal.

He was a man that was proud of his family. He was a great husband, Dad, Papa and friend. He will be remembered most of all for his hard work and dedication that he put into everything he did. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Dannye Kay Neal of the home; one son, Brian Ray Neal, and his wife Kristi of Manila; one daughter, Rachael Neal Daniel, and her husband Eric of Mansfield; his mother, Lillie Mae "Mama" Neal of Lepanto; three sisters, Linda Ruth Cockrell, Carol Jean Raney and Lillie Ann Smith, all of Lepanto; and one grandson, Brian Ray "Bri" Neal II.

Visitation will be this evening from 5-7 at First Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 7 with Pastor Jim Duffel officiating.

Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Potter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Martin Fahr, Larry Tyler, Glen Tyler, William Tyler, Eddie Boon, Doug Landry, Kenneth Hill and Bo Gandy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Eubanks and James Curruth.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
